The Taste: Tuesday at 8|7c on ABC

The Taste season begins with blind auditions of both professional and amateur cooks during which four judges, who double as mentors, taste one spoonful of food from each contestant prior to knowing who cooked it or what all the ingredients are.      The contestant with the worst bite of food is eliminated from the competition.

We've discovered the funnest (yes, funnest, it's a word...) new show on TV and the best part is that it's on Tuesdays!  Nothing good is on Tuesdays.  This is good.  On a Tuesday.

I'm a huge Anthony Bourdain fan and ever since I caught Nigella Lawson on, "Watch What Happens Live," I tuned in and started watching her, based solely on her personality.   I realized quickly that while she's not a classicly trained traditional "Chef," she is a talented cook who whips up outstanding dishes that are easily recreated at home.  She's written 8 cookbooks and I've got 2, and since everything I've made out of them is delicious, I trust her judgement with the same kind of reckless abandon I do Anthony's when she critiques dishes on the show.

It's campy in that models in little black dresses carry the food dishes around on the show, and they're the dishes created by "Regular People" who cook at home, now appearing on the show.  Throwing Brian Malarkey from Top Chef in the mix adds to the odd allure of this show, it seems that most people either love the guy or hate him.  (Maybe they just don't "get" him?!)

Tune in just to hear Ludovic "Ludo" Lefebvre's French accent, and judge for yourself!
